We had a wonderful time on the Big Island of Hawaii. We stayed in an awesome condo that Suzanne booked in the Waikoloa area of Kona. We had beautiful weather and it wasn't too busy (probably due to the Tsumani that hit the week before). We loved relaxing and exploring for a whole week. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary (June of this year) and my 40th birthday-late (Dec. of last year).
It is always hart to adjust to "real life" when we get home. I go through "Dave withdrawl".
Here are a few pictures from a wonderful Thanksgiving:
Grandpa and Tayley
Michael & Jarom
Dave's Parents with us
The whole Turkey gang...
Dave and I had planned a small Thanksgiving (just the 2 of us). But, as usual,
our turkey group quickly grew. We were grateful to have Cami & Cosette join us. (They stayed to help me put up the Tree too!). Then, Dave's parents did not make their annual trip to Utah for Thanksgiving, so of course, they joined us too. My brother Jarom came along for some grub, and my 2 brothers Michael & Mark joined us for dessert.
We were especially lucky last minute to have Carissa, Daron, Tayley, Gannon, & baby join us with Chris and Cameron. It was truly a treat to get to hang out with them...we really enjoyed getting to know them better. We love having family join us!
Isn't Kaelin cute? Even when she's eating her life jacket?
(This was before she fell asleep on the boat. It seemed like little kids loved to fall asleep on the boat or on the waverunners--it must be the rocking motion and the vibration of the motor).
Too funny.
Tracy the wakeboarder.
Charlie's Crazy tricks. (You're supposed to hold onto the rope and actually LAND the trick, silly!)
Look at the "air" Adam got!
Nate loved "driving" the boat. Anytime we were stopped and switching
out skiiers, he would look to see if anyone was watching, then sneak up to the
captain's chair and pretend.
Charlie tells Nate not to worry.
Mike & Kevin on the waverunner.
These 3 silly boys led a rousing version of "Hap-PY Birth-DAY to You" to Mom.
It was her birthday on Tuesday while we were there and they each too turns singing one syllable of the song. It was hillarious!
Mallory and "Ricky Stix" (that's Braxton's band name)
Steve & Lorene.
We miss having them living in Washington with us.
I still have tons more pictures to post. We had a really great time.
There were tons of fun things we did that I didn't take pictures of either.
Volleyball games, Hot tubbing, Lake View Drive-in, and the Drama.
(No family reunion is complete without a little drama right?)
